Tour Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 | Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve
You will collected from hotel/airport and start your journey from Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve where you will start afternoon boat trip. Usually the afternoon boat trip leaves camp at 4pm and returns at 6. 30 pm. It’s an ideal trip if you would like to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rufiji River with many hippos, crocodiles, and beautiful birdlife. The sunset can also be stunning from the boat. There is nothing quite like the serenity of the river while the sun dips below the horizon. Dinner and overnight at Zafara tented camp.
Day 2 | Selous full day game drive
The day will be spent on game viewing in the Game Reserve. The safari guide points out rare species of animals like the Wild Dogs. Sable antelopes, black rhinoceros, Nile Crocodile, hippopotamus along the banks of the Rufiji river, Cape buffalo, hartebeest and Eland. Picnic lunches and drinks will be served in the wilderness before heading back to camp for dinner and overnight to the gentle grunting of Zarafa tent Camp.Diiner and overnight at Zafara tented cam
Day 3 | Selous to Dar es Salaam
Earl Morning breakfast at the camp and start a guided walking sunrise safari in the Selous Game Reserve. The armed ranger guide will be leading you to areas along the banks of the River to have a close up experience with Wild animals. You see Cape Buffalo, Nile Crocodile, elephants and schools of hippo. Later proceed driving to Dar Es Salaam to Hotel.
